Desmond's 3rd Baseball game
"Dad...why do you keep dragging me to these things?"
Okay...this section is a promotion for my camera. A Canon Powershot SX110. We were sitting in the view seating, which is the 300 level, which means the highest section, almost right behind home plate. For those of you that don't know, Ichiro plays right field.
Also...if you've never been to a Mariners game at Safeco Field, the dancing groundskeepeers is one of the highlights.

Desi's 2nd Baseball game
Desi took a little better to his 2nd game than to his first. It probably helped that there were no fireworks, this time. Still...the big cheers frightened him. And, he got pretty tired by about the 3rd inning and just wanted to sleep. Woke up at about the 5th inning and was in better spirits until he got tired again around the 6th inning. Clearly, Desi finds baseball very thrilling.
Here are some pics:
"I don't know about this...last time I was here it was very loud."
"Okay! This rocks! And, it's Daddy's Day, so I'll have fun with my Daddy!"
"Who's on first?"
"Nevermind. I hate baseball."
"Baseball is stuuupiiizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."
"Daddy has a non-sexual man-crush on Ichiro."

Mobility
Desi Little Sniper from Jason Pankow on Vimeo.
We can't look away for very long because Desi is now mobile.
I had him playing in the living room, today, while I cleaned the kitchen. Next thing I know, I turn around and there he is, in the kitchen...with my shoe. Wish I had a video of that.

Recipe of the week - 40 clove garlic chicken
I know now.
This is a quick and easy recipe for the crockpot. Very flavorful.
Here are the ingredients:
- 3-4 lbs of chicken (best in drumstick form, in my opinion)
- 1 large onion
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp pepper
- 20-40 cloves (not bulbs) of garlic
Very simple. You slice the onion and you dump it into the base of the crockpot.
Now...the recipe in my book says to mix all this together, roll the chicken in it and then dump the excess into the crockpot, over the chicken. I find that, with the exception of the garlic, there just isn't enough of the other ingredients. So...instead, I put the chicken on top of the onions, and then add the other ingredients separately, directly on top of the chicken. I'm just eyeballing it, here. Seems to work, fine.
Verdict to be added after I eat it on Monday, night. If this publishes without a verdict...it's because I am writing it as I prepare the crockpot on Sunday night. I must have forgotten to update.
________
UPDATE: See...I knew that would happen.
Verdict...not bad. Lots of flavor. But, I am glad I added the extra seasoning. Otherwise...it would have tasted like little more than chicken. Quick, easy, and lots of leftovers.
